Aurora1 AV1 is a proprietary and paid software AV1 encoder developed by Visionular. Although they do provide a contact form to get a free trial, not much is known about this encoder other than cherry-picked claims and proof provided by the company themselves that it is supposedly "better" than public, FOSS encoders.

Rumors say they just increase sharpness by default to win at metrics and the human eyes, but it is currently unconfirmed.
