VC-1 is video codec created by Microsoft and released in 2006. It largely aimed to compete with AVC.

Encoding​

VC-1 can be contained in .mp4, .mkv, and .avi containers. To be filled

Decoding​

VC-1 can be decoded by FFmpeg, VLC, MPV, and any device that supports blu-ray.
